Our work speaks for itselfThe Cube Garden Project
The Cube Garden Project was developed through a grant from Seattle Parks & Recreation. Bryan Ohno designed several Cube Gardens for Occidental Park in Pioneer Square, Seattle to introduce more nature into the downtown courtyard like setting. By tilting the large cube into a diagonal, pyramid-like structure, it activated the space for a more dynamic interaction between the viewer from the fragrant and colorful floral plants. These Ikebana like installations were maintained throughout the summer by a diverse group of contributors, including local businesses and even the members of the homeless community who frequented the park. Created in 2012.
