The overall design is to portray a sense of “abundance” through its continuous curvaceous form. The curved form allows the eye to wander around the plate which gives it a sense of a warmth and softness that invites you to touch it and hold it in your hand. They are light weight and perfect for Asian dishes or stew meals.
The three plates come with an original sumi calligraphy box depicting the scenes from the nearby Soos Creek where my studio resides.
