Activating a downtown park

In 2012, through a grant from Seattle Parks & Recreation, the park was brought to life with 250 individually hand-painted kites created by community youth and local artists. As the conceptual designer for this project, Bryan Ohno arranged these kites over a 1,500-foot span for residents to enjoy as they walked through the park.

If given opportunity and permission to imagine expansively, any person can achieve new heights of creative expressions they have never experienced before.

Here, creativity meets opportunity.
